The word ‘Helal’ in Arabic means “crescent”, often used to describe the moon. Hence the name, Crescent Dental!
Dr. Helal grew up just minutes from our practice and graduated from Columbia Heights High School. She’s thrilled to serve the community that means so much to her.
She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and completed her residency at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.
From a family of educators, Dr. Helal loves empowering her patients. She even taught dental residents in Seattle and dental students at the University of MN.
Dr. Helal is very generous with her time and admits she struggles with being concise…she just wants to make sure you have all of your questions answered!
Dr. Helal and our team are able to see patients of all ages, whether they are getting their first tooth, thinking about veneers, or are ready for dental implants.

Dr. Helal is an avid hiker who is always willing to trek for a beautiful view, and she loves to share them through her vibrant photographs you’ll see throughout our office. Of course, she wants her practice to have style and substance, which is why she is constantly updating our equipment—every operatory has a 42-inch TV so patients can see their X-rays, intraoral camera photos, and more so they have a full understanding of their treatment plans.
