Advanced Dental Technology & Comforts New Brighton

Exciting, Innovative Technology for Precise Care

It’s truly incredible how technology can be used to improve dental wellness. However, the modern dentistry landscape is constantly changing and evolving as new instruments, techniques, and different technologies emerge. Dr. Helal understands this, and she’s made an effort to ensure that her New Brighton office remains up to date while also constantly looking for ways to improve its services. To learn more about some of the equipment that we can use to elevate your oral health and enhance your smile, continue reading below.

Digital Impressions

In the past, the process of taking dental impressions wasn’t very quick, easy, or comfortable for patients. Thankfully, we can do things differently and easily here in our New Brighton office, thanks to our Trios Wireless Scanner! This special instrument uses special digital software to scan the entire anatomy of your mouth, which allows for incredibly precise treatment planning without any hassle or mess. After your scan, you can see your entire mouth on a computer screen!

Intraoral Camera

We can also use our MouthWatch intraoral camera to take a closer look at your smile. This is a small, wand-shaped instrument with a digital camera on one end that’s connected to special computer software. It essentially lets us view your mouth in much greater detail, which allows us to scope out potentially hidden issues, accurately plan treatment, and more. Of course, this detailed view isn’t just for our eyes; we also have 42-inch TVs in each operatory, where you’ll be able to see everything we see while explaining our findings!

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide can be used to sedate patients receiving dental treatment. It’s administered through a soft nasal mask with a mixture of oxygen, and a patient’s vitals are monitored throughout the treatment. Nitrous oxide is safe for children and adults alike, and it rarely has any serious side effects, making it an excellent way of assisting with all kinds of treatments, as well as those with dental-related anxiety.
